Changes in the Enterprise Computing applied subject

With the introduction of the Information Systems degree program, there will also be a change in other areas of the teaching portfolio of the Chair of Enterprise Computing.

In the summer semester 2025, the Master's course "IT Management (ITM)", which is an elective in (Applied) Computer Science and a mandatory module in the applied subject Enterprise Computing, will be offered for the last time .

In the winter semester, this module will be replaced by the module "Advanced Enterprise Computing (AEC)", which will deal with advanced topics in Information Systems. This change is necessary due to the introduction of the Master's degree in Information Systems in the winter semester 2025/2026, as Information Systems graduates already have to take "IT Strategy and IT Management (ITSM)" as a mandatory module in their Bachelor's degree and this should also be open to Computer Science students in their Bachelor's degree in the future. Otherwise, this would lead to a duplication in the curriculums.

In the applied subject Enterprise Computing for Applied Computer Science the module "Advanced Enterprise Computing" is to replace the module "IT Management" 1:1. Please note, however, that the cycle will change from summer to winter.

Specifically, "Advanced Enterprise Computing" will cover socio-technical and business aspects of AI use. We plan topics such as algorithmic management, generative AI, AI governance, MLOps, responsible AI, AI agents and hybrid intelligence.

If you would like to take IT Management in your Master's degree, please do so this summer semester.
