Prof. Janiesch and his team kick off the research sabbatical with a stay in Brisbane

At the beginning of the upcoming research sabbatical, Prof. Janiesch and various members of the Chair will visit the QUT Centre for Future Enterprise at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia, to talk to colleagues there about progress in the field of business process management and the management of artificial intelligence. In particular, the possible futures of the convergence of both topics are in the foreground when it comes to human-AI interaction and process autonomy.

QUT describes itself as "the university for the real world". Its research results focus on technology and innovation. QUT is one of the top 200 universities in the world and serves more than 50,000 students on two inner-city campuses in Brisbane.

Brisbane is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia and Oceania with a population of around 2.6 million and the designated host of the 2032 Olympic Games. Brisbane is a global city and a major research and innovation hub in the Asia-Pacific region as well as a transportation hub for the region.

You want to go to Brisbane, too?

Since 2023, students of (Applied) Computer Science at TU Dortmund University have been able to write their Bachelor's or Master's thesis at QUT. The students are supervised by Prof. Dr. Michael Rosemann. Please contact Prof. Janiesch directly if you are interested.
