3 days, 1 mission: Shaping the future with AI
From June 19 to 21, 2026, the Colosseum Theater in Essen will become a meeting place for creative minds, technology enthusiasts and future designers. The three-day hackathon will bring together students from the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Technical University of Dortmund and Ruhr University Bochum to develop innovative solutions for social challenges using artificial intelligence.
This year's focus is on the topic of health. We are not only looking for developers, but also designers, strategists and anyone who wants to make a difference with their ideas. Participants will work together on practical challenges and develop prototypes with real application potential - from large language models and agentic AI to machine learning solutions.
During the hackathon, the teams receive support from experts from business and research. They also have the opportunity to present their ideas to investors, win attractive prizes and gain access to the BRYCK Startup Alliance pipeline.
In addition to working on innovative projects, the event offers the chance to network with like-minded people from across the Ruhr region and become part of a dedicated innovation community.
