Prof. Janiesch wins Best Paper Award

Best Paper at the Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS)

Christian Janiesch together with his co-authors Lukas-Valentin Herm and Jonas Wanner, both Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, won the Best Paper Award at the annual Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS).

In the paper, "A Taxonomy of User-centered Explainable AI Studies," the authors examine research on user-centered XAI research in a meta-synthesis. The result is a taxonomy of XAI studies and and derived archetypes for AI studies.

PACIS was organized this year from Taipei and Sydney but held virtually. It is the largest conference of the information systems community in the Asian region. 629 paper were submitted to the conference.
